Jefferson Community School Paintings

Under Emerson Avenue Bridge

Artists: Thirteen Jefferson Community School students ages 8 to 11
Year: 2008
Through the after-school program Everyday Leaders, the students worked together to produce designs that reflected their interests, uncertainties, and hopes for the future.  After several weeks of teamwork building, development of art skills and painting, the class successfully created four murals.  These paintings represent their views on the environment, friendship, leadership and freedom.
